Tamil Department was started in the academic year 1998-1999 and elevated to Post Graduate Department by offering M.A. Tamil in the year 2013-2014. Tamil is the Life study of Ilakkiyam and Ilakkanam, such as Tourism, Kovil Kalai, Kalvettiyal, Journalism etc.,.
It is in great demand and plenty of job opportunities for the students who aspire to take up the job in the field of Temple Arts, Kalvettiyalist, Journalsit, Typist, Police, IAS, IPS, VAO, IfS, Anchor, etc., Students have brighter chances of going to abroad, if they graduate themselves in this enchanting field.
