B.Sc – Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology
B.Sc Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology is a job oriented course. The course is identified with all the work and management of the operation theatre. The program prepares candidates for managing the patients and in addition to observing the intricate detail of an operation theatre. During the study, the candidates are responsible for caring for all the surgical instruments and additionally their disinfection and sterilization. Candidates help the specialist amid operations and nearly take care of the medications, anesthetic gases, curtains, and sterilization necessities during surgery. The knowledge gained by the students through B.Sc. in Anesthesia Technology helps them in choosing the right anesthetic treatment for a patient and its dosage.
Career in Anesthesiology is one of the most useful areas in the field of healthcare. There are many job opportunities for the Anesthesiologist. They will get the employment in medical universities, public sectors, outpatient care center, specialty hospital, offices of physicians. B.Sc – Accident & Emergency Care Technology
The Accident and Emergency Care Technology course is a four-year course which trains candidates in Emergency Medical techniques to become the first responders to all kind of medical emergencies. They are taught knowledge and skills to save the patients with various medical emergencies, within and outside the hospital. Training experience is predominantly in the department of Accident and Emergency Medicine. The Accident and Emergency care trained technicians’ responsibility is to save many precious lives along with medical team with any kind of emergency conditions. On completion of the course, emergency care technicians have good opportunities in multi-specialty hospitals in India and abroad.

B.Sc – Medical Lab Technology
Medical technologists are an integral part of the medical profession. These professionals get involved in practical and technical work to aid correct diagnosis and effective functioning of Biochemical Laboratories. Medical Laboratory Technology helps diagnose, treat and prevent disease through clinical laboratory tests. It is complementary to medical science. It involves analysis of body matter such as fluid, tissue, and blood. It also covers micro-organism screening, chemical analyses, and cell count. These professionals, medical lab technicians and technologists, play an important role in collecting information, sampling, testing, reporting and documenting medical investigations.
The career prospects in this field depend on the academic and technical skills of the technologist/technician. Initially he/she joins any laboratory as a certified medical laboratory technician. These days with the growth in the private sector there are so many private hospitals, nursing homes, blood banks, pathology laboratories etc. the demand for laboratory technicians is on the up-swing. With adequate knowledge and experience, Medical Laboratory Technologists can advance to supervisory or management positions in laboratories and hospitals. They can also work as Laboratory manager/Consultant/supervisor, health care Administrator, Hospital Outreach coordination, laboratory information system Analyst/Consultant, educational consultant / coordinator etc. Additional opportunities are available in molecular diagnostics, molecular biotechnology companies and in vitro fertilization laboratories as well as in research labs.
B.Sc – Cardiac Technology
If cardiology pulls at your heartstrings or the idea of being a cardiovascular technologist raises your pulse, let’s stop and use our head for a minute. A passion for the job is a huge benefit, of course. Cardiac technology is an area of specialization for allied health professionals. Cardiac technicians assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac (heart) and peripheral vascular (blood vessel) conditions. This program primarily deals with the subject of cardiac care technology. The program trains students in areas related to cardiac care technology. The main task of a cardiac care technologist is to assist the specialist (Doctor) with procedures such as – diagnosis and surgery. He/she usually operates relevant equipment involved in these procedures. Cardiac Technologists assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular testing.
On completion of the instruction, technologists and technicians can become credentialed in that specialty. There are a variety of jobs for B.Sc. Cardiovascular Technology graduates in areas such as Hospitals, Health-related organizations, Universities, etc. A student aspiring for more knowledge in the same or related domain can opt for higher studies such as M.Sc. in Cardiovascular technology, or M.Sc. in Cardiac technology, etc.
B.Sc – Dialysis Technology
The Dialysis Technician course has been designed to offer eligible candidates a specialization in a wide range of application and technologies involved in the process of dialysis. During the course, candidates are educated about various aspects and equipment used in dialysis treatment and is trained to perform various roles from equipment repair and maintenance to water treatment monitoring, to dialyzer reprocessing, vascular access monitoring as well as direct patient care. The students get an in-depth knowledge about the basic anatomy and physiology, dialysis prescription interpretation, safety and sanitation, emergency interventions, and professional standards and ethics.
After successful completion of the course, one can get a job in various government and private hospitals, private clinics, healthcare setups, research centers, educational institutes, etc. Other than seeking for a job, one can also opt for a career in teaching or can pursue higher degree courses in the discipline, like M. Sc. (Master of Science), Ph. D (Doctor of Philosophy), and other research related courses.
